POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Associate:

  • Co-ordinates with Supply Chain Management to share monthly forecasts, generate and place Purchase Orders for inventory items (commercial products), co-ordinate inbound logistics (inbound deliveries), process PO receipts, manage Canadian Customs, manage Day-to-Day Issue Resolution with wholesalers and sample distribution channels
  • Performs many of the day-to-day activities of Inventory Purchasing, Logistics and Distribution.

This is a collaboration with the Senior Supply Chain Manager (who performs Planning, Inventory Management, S&OPs, and Special Projects)

  • Co-operates with Supply Chain Team and QA where needed (i.e. – deviations, investigations, etc)
  • Offers Purchasing support for associated departments and sites,
  • Collaborates on various Supply Chain Reports for Finance Dept.
  • Generally, collaborates with Supply Chain team, ensuring predictable and reliable product supply to wholesalers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary function is to liaise between Supply Chain Planning functions and vendors, to ensure Product Supply for Miravo Healthcare, performing:
    • Supplier-Relationship Management
    • Purchasing (inventory products, componentry where needed (APIs))*
    • Logistics (inbound and outbound), including temperature control, insurance*
    • Co-ordination of customs activities (for inventory products) (in and out of Canada) as per GDPs*
    • Day-to-Day Issue Resolution with Distribution Network and Wholesalers*
    • Support for Sample Distribution channels
  • Coordination with third party partners for:
    • Revision control of printed materials and inventories
    • Introduce new products, communications with distribution network
  • Coordination with associated departments and sites (Varennes) for Purchasing support as needed,
  • Collaboration on various Supply Chain Reports for Finance Dept. (i.e. month-end inventory, shipping insurance forecasts, obsolescence forecast)
  • Ability / mobility to travel in local GTA as needed,
  • Responsible for reporting adverse events (AEs) associated with commercial products.
  • Provides a strong interface internal customer in support of their needs and requirements
  • Supports the Director(s) goals in driving forward company goals

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
  • Supply Chain Accreditation preferred (i.e. – CSCM / CSCP)
  • 2 – 5 years in supply chain, planning, and /or purchasing fields
  • Financial Fluency, general principles of accounting, cost of goods, inventory
  • Pharmaceutical cGMP experience preferred (or consumer goods experience also useful)

ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ABILITIES: 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented
  • Fluent with common software programs, especially spreadsheets, and ERP programs
  • French / English bilingualism would be a strong asset
  • Hands-on approach
  • Self-reliant, able to use various tools to optimize results
  • Is approachable, and builds rapport with colleagues and key partners
  • Able to travel to local third party partners and vendors (occasionally)
